it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach 3rd grade in a high-need, diverse community comprised of a large number of at-risk, ELL students from low-income households......who have an INCREDIBLE thirst for knowledge and LOVE coming to our wonderful school. What would make it better?
Having the ability to distribute a Time for Kids magazine to each of my 25 students on a weekly basis! My students come from a variety of ethnic backgrounds, as well as academic abilities, but what they all share is the excitement and eagerness to learn what is happening in the world around them. TIME for Kids is a perfect way for my 3rd graders to do this.
I need a subscription for each of my 25 students for the upcoming school year. TIME for Kids is a weekly magazine that motivates students to read nonfiction. TIME for Kids provides excellent articles about today's news, interesting people, and historical events. TFK also would help the students understand this year's election and its process, which they are really excited about.
You will have a hand in providing my 3rd grade students with a weekly opportunity to be exposed to challenging nonfiction reading material, and with my help, come to understand current issues of our world. My students will develop into critical thinkers and be able to communicate their thoughts and understanding about the community and world in which they are a member of!

TIME For Kids Magazine- News Scoop Edition w/ TFK Around the World (grades 2-3). Pricing is valid for orders placed after March 2008. After August 15th of current school year, pricing will remain in effect but TIME For Kids reserves the right to prorate issue quantity and free gifts.
