Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a librarian, I strive to create an environment that not only fosters learning but also encourages responsibility and teamwork among our students. Our library is a vibrant hub where students from all grade levels come to explore, read, and learn. However, maintaining a clean and welcoming space can be challenging, especially with limited resources.
This project aims to empower our students by providing them with the tools they need to take ownership of their library's cleanliness.
We are seeking funding for a small, user-friendly vacuum cleaner that students can use to help keep the library tidy. This initiative will not only promote a sense of community and responsibility but also teach valuable life skills such as teamwork and maintenance.
Along with a vacuum, my students would love to have new puzzles to work on at lunch time. We have prolific puzzlers who find puzzles really calming and I would love to challenge them with some new endeavors (We've done a few puzzles more than once.)
