Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A class store motivates students by giving them a tangible goal to work toward. When students know they can earn classroom currency or points for positive behaviors—like following directions, being kind, staying on task, or completing assignments—they become more invested in making good choices. It promotes responsibility, accountability, and self-regulation, all while making behavior management feel like a game instead of a lecture.

The store also reinforces real-world skills like saving, budgeting, and decision-making.

Students learn that effort leads to reward, and they take pride in earning something through their own actions. Best of all, it creates a positive classroom culture where students feel recognized, encouraged, and excited to contribute to a respectful, productive learning environment.

We will use our class store to reward respectful, responsible, and kind behavior throughout the day. Students can earn classroom currency by completing assignments, staying focused, and giving their best effort. The class store helps us learn how to make choices, manage our "money," and save for the things we want. Our store celebrates progress, improvement, and positive actions—not just perfect results.
