My Project

For my first graders, we are so excited to learn about all the possibilities that space has to offer! One of the exciting ways we are studying space is by writing science fiction stories of travels to and from space. We are so excited to wonder about aliens and how they might interact with people. Through this study, we are also really delving in to fact and fiction.

We are studying fictional stories of space, and we are analyzing them for the elements of both fact and fiction..

We are learning how to read for author's purpose, and how to know if what an author is telling you is fact or fiction, a critical skill that all students need. We are learning how to read with a critical eye. To do this important work, we need books to analyze! We are so grateful for your support!
