Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Have you ever tried to get a student to pick up a newspaper or a magazine without getting a comment like, "Do I have to?" Today, most students use the Internet as a resource and they don't want to pick up a dictionary, encyclopedia, or magazine!
The resources that I need are a set of magazines from Scholastic for the students.
They would be a great tool to help students explore the world at large and get an experience reading meaningful nonfiction texts. They will use the stories in the article to analyze news stories. Students will learn about different science concepts and science fields. The magazine features articles from life, earth, and physical science.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
