My students need books (39 titles) that help them figure out what career they'd like to pursue and how to get there, including forensics, acting, music, teaching, medicine, and more.

My Students
"What do you want to do after high school?" This question can be very daunting for my students. They have some vague ideas about a career path but need the specifics like where to find a program, any prerequisites needed and what the career will entail.
Many of my students come from parents without college educations, which already puts them at a disadvantage.
My students are beyond diverse! The population I serve in my high school varies from middle class to English as a Second Language speakers to Advanced Program. Over 75% of the students in my school are on free or reduced lunch. Our school is also labeled "Persistently Low Achieving."
My Project
These resources about careers will open up a new world of possibilities for my students! They can know a general field in which they'd like to work and these resources will help guide them toward a specific career. The books will tell them how to meet their career goals, which is information my students struggle finding.
By knowing this information, they can formulate a plan for a successful transition and follow it through!
By opening up so many possibilities with these career books, you would be giving so many young adults the resources and guidance to make them successful and productive members of society.
You will help many of them become the first person in their family to have a real career after high school, not just jump from job to job.
