This year I am teaching a second/third grade combination class.
I am really looking forward to the challenge of teaching a combo class. I know this year will be fabulous as I taught second grade this last year and will have many of the same students as third graders. We will be able to start the year off with a bang since so many of my students will already know what is expected of them.
My Project
My students need twenty Sony headphones to use with our classroom Chromebooks. This year our school purchased a class set of Chromebooks for my students. We use the computers to read stories, take AR tests, and to use Google Docs. The headphones will be assigned to each child. My students will use the headphones to listen to stories, take the audio version of the AR test, and to help them tune out the general classroom background noise. Having an assigned set of headphones for each child will be a healthier alternative to sharing headsets.
Having a set of headphones for each student will be beneficial so students can take tests, read books accompanied by the audio version, and reduce external noise.
My students use computers daily. Having the appropriate accessories for the computers will make learning more effective and will make curriculum more accessible.
