My students are fantastic Second graders at an awesome school. We serve students from many different backgrounds, including a growing ESL population.
My children have a thirst for knowledge and come to school every day ready to learn.
As their teacher, it is my job to give them positive experiences that change their lives every day. It is an incredible honor. Nothing beats the look on their faces when they learn something new! These sweet "Smarties" are my pride and joy.
My Project
We are requesting easel chart pads, markers, dry erasers, table top easel pads and composition notebooks. The supplies in this project will be used to create anchor charts for each skill that we learn. It is important for our children to know what they are learning about, why they are learning it, and how they can show what they know.
For every skill I teach, I create an anchor chart that stays up in the room as an introduction, for the children to refer back to as we are learning the skill, and to refer to after we learn it.
The chart paper and markers will be used to make these charts. They will then be stuck around the room as a reference later on.
The blank notebooks will be used for the children to make their own anchor chart books. They will create their own anchor charts in the books to help them remember what they have learned, and look back if they need to.
