My Students
My students are from very diverse backgrounds and different economic situations. They are all very eager to learn despite the fact they all have specific learning disabilities. This school my students are using I-Ready Reading and Math programs online. These programs require students to have a good pair of headphones or ear buds. Several students brought their own at the beginning of the school year and others did not and had to rely on some old headphones that I have been using for the past several years. We are now half way through the school year and most the ones I had are broken and no longer working as well as those brought in by individual students. My students desperately need a good set of headphones so they listen to the online instruction being presented within the I-Ready Math and Reading programs that they use on a daily basis, as well with other online curriculum materials where information is being read to them.
My Project
My students have various online curriculum assignments that are completed online and require each student to have a good set of headphones so they can hear articles / questions that are being read to them as well as online instruction that is being taught in their I-Ready Reading and Math programs.
These amazing new headphones will benefit my students by allowing them hear their online assignments more clearly.
With the ability to hear more clearly, my students will be able to be more successful with their online assignments in the areas of reading, math and social studies. This will make a world of difference to my students.
