I teach all day Kindergarten in a high-need community. My classroom is hands- and brains-on, and we love to learn from one another and through music. My goal is to inspire my students to believe in themselves and to become lifelong learners. With this proposal, I hope to inspire the next Mozart!
My kindergarten students and I love singing songs and making music. Unfortunately, with the increasing demands put on young children in kindergarten, the time we can spend with the fine arts is limited. Consequently, they are provided less time to foster their creativity and talents. I want to provide my students with an opportunity to use instruments to make music on a daily basis.
I am requesting a set of assorted rhythmic instruments that are developmentally appropriate. I want to create a "Music Center" in my classroom to be used on a daily basis during free choice center time. This center would provide my students time to explore and discover the instruments freely. The children would be free to use their creativity to make music. These instruments would enhance the students' learning. I want to provide my students with a holistic education that is enriching and meaningful.
Your donation would give my students an opportunity to experience music and instruments in a way that fosters their creativity and enriches their lives. Your support will empower my students to believe in themselves and their intrinsic talents. You will provide my students with materials that will enhance their learning and promote a student-centered environment. Your donation will help will make a difference in the lives of my students!
