My students need access to rhythm instruments. My students need 2 sturdy carts to transport instruments to classroom. In addition, they need new music books and CDs.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Brod's classroom raised $513

My Students
Music is "in the bag"! Enrollment increases and budget cuts have left my students without a music classroom. Each day, I bring my "bags of fun" to each classroom. The students never know what to expect, which keeps things lively! Transporting materials is also a huge challenge, though.
My students come from diverse cultures and economic backgrounds.
They share a love of their community, which has been negatively featured in the local and national news lately. When students walk into our school, they become a learning family. In music class, my students are all equal partners in creating harmony.
My Project
With sturdy carts, I will be able to bring more instruments to classrooms. Students will play a wider variety of instruments far more often. In addition, they will gain the opportunity to play the larger instruments too unwieldy to carry by hand from room to room.
With new rhythm activity books and CDs, my students will play and sing a wider variety of music of different styles and cultures.
More instruments + new songs = music class excitement!
Studies show powerful connections between music education and brain development, success in other subject areas, attendance, and school spirit.
Donations to this project will help my students during a time of great turmoil in their community. Playing and singing in harmony is incredibly powerful. My students will greatly benefit from these materials and the knowledge that you care!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
