We're SWITCHING it up in Adapted Physical Education!
Help me give my students more options when it comes to participating in Adapted Physical Education. I just started implementing the Nintendo Switch into my curriculum and the kids love it!
I'm Coach Williams and I teach Adapted Physical Education to students with special needs. I travel all over the county and have students that range from Kindergarten all the way to 12th grade. As I'm sure you know, every student is different when it comes to what they are capable of.
I've recently decided to implement the Nintendo Switch into my curriculum, and my kiddos LOVED it!
They all had so much fun playing Mariokart during a "fun day" right before Christmas break and were VERY good at it! The best thing was that students of all abilities were able to participate and play the Switch.
This made me think about how I could run with this and make it even more fun. I found some games that they could play and even participate in workouts on the Switch. I researched how I could get a tv that doesn't need to be plugged in if the classroom isn't available and found the perfect one to use. All of the rest of the items on my list are things that many of my students could use for therapy, as well as have fun with.
