This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am the only art teacher in a Pre-K-8th grade school in a NY city public school. Currently our school is only as bright and colorful as the things I can hang up, our school needs some murals to brighten it up.

My students are wonderful, bright creative kids.

We just made our first mural about their experience in the New York City Ballroom Dancing program. There are already plans in the works for additional murals highlighting our academic achievements, historical events, scientific explorations and artistic endeavors.

My Project

We need additional mural paints to create more bold, vibrant murals for our school community. I am really hoping that with the success of this mural we can make it a annual tradition and really make our hallways look as bright and creative as our students!

My students could create, beautiful, inspiring mural art with your help.

They would build up their self esteem, participate in artistic problem solving and work as a team with classmates. The students are bright, bold and creative and I want to give them a chance to give back to their school community through their imagination and hard work. Let them leave their mark on our school in a creative way!
