Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We love learning the alphabet. My students love hands-on alphabet activities when learning in class.
My students attend a public school in Arizona.
Our school is in a high poverty area. We are a Title I school. Many of our students come from homes where English is not the first language that they learn. Our students come eager to learn and interact with staff and students.
My Project
Students in our class will use these alphabet bags during instruction as well as during centers. They will use these alphabet bags to discover items that begin with the same letter sound. They will be able to see items in different bags and discuss how their beginning sounds are different.
With your generous donation towards our classroom alphabet bags, our preschool students will be able have a fun way to learn their alphabet and their sounds.
Students will be able to engage with other students while learning their letters and sounds.
More than half of students from low‑income households
