We're Half Way There... Help Us Get the Matching Chairs

My students need additional lightweight chairs that would match the ABSOLUTELY PERFECT chairs we just received the other day!

FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Kemme's classroom raised $704

My Students

Every day I walk into my Kindergarten classroom in Queens and my students are excited and passionate about learning. They work cooperatively with each other and always strive for their best! This makes me proud and honored to be their teacher. My wish for them is to have tables and chairs that are more Kindergarten friendly. Our desk are rectangular and children are squished for space. This is especially challenging during writing. Our chairs are a heavy metal and this makes it extremely difficult for them to put up the chairs at the end of each day so that the floors can be swept. Please fund my project so that my students can work comfortably in a personal space.

My Project

A seat that is lightweight and isn't able to tip over would make my students'lives easier and safer at the end of each day. We are required to put up the chairs every afternoon so that the floors can be swept. The chairs we have now are different sizes and are very heavy. A lightweight chair that is the correct size would not only make the end of the day easier and safer but during work time, the students would be able to sit correctly in the chairs. In addition, the new chairs aren't able to tip over which would help to keep all the children safe. An added bonus is that now not only are folders and table caddies color coded but the chairs would be also. :) Yesterday we received the blue chairs and they are PERFECT! My students and I LOVE them and would really appreciate it if we could get the chairs in red and yellow for our other two tables. I am not sure who was more excited about the chairs...me or the children. Currently only 10 children can use these AMAZING chairs. Please help us get the rest so that everyone in the class can have a seat that is safe and lightweight.
