My Students

This year, I have the pleasure of following some of my students from preschool into Pre-K! I have loved seeing the progress we have made from two years of playing and learning together. My students love spending their days reading books to one another, exploring new topics, and using their imaginations.

Our school is a diverse community of learners from many different backgrounds and abilities.

Despite any challenges my students may face both in and out of the classroom, they come to school each day with an eagerness to learn and have fun. They know our classroom is a safe space to explore, make mistakes, and learn together. I am so proud of all the things we have accomplished together as a team!

My Project

My students have made so much progress this year and they are gearing up to go to kindergarten next fall. I am asking for these specific materials so we can challenge them and continue to build on their foundational math and literacy skills.

In math, we have started acting out number stories and are working on basic addition and subtraction.

The math materials I have requested will help my students get an understanding of simple math operations they can build upon in the future.

In literacy, we are working on phonemic awareness with CVC words, as well as reading texts with familiar sight words. The literacy materials would help my students build confidence with their reading so that they can move on to more challenging texts with ease.
