This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
For the first time in a 5 year teaching career and 8 years of working in Kindergarten and Pre-K classrooms, I will be moving to the very new world of First Grade. This daunting change comes with one bit of fantastic news, which is that I will be looping with my Kindergarten students and working with them for another year of learning and growth. The biggest strength of this change is that I know my students going into the upcoming school year, and I know what they need.
Digraphs and blends are key components of first grade and strong decoding skills, and these materials will assist my students in strengthening their confidence in these areas!
These resources will greatly benefit the students in my integrated special education and English language learner classroom. We would be very grateful for your support in bringing these materials to our classroom.
