In my typical day, I see about 165 students and we learn about Advanced Placement Psychology! Topics range from understanding memory, brain anatomy, and what it means to be abnormal.
I work in a High School environment and interact with juniors and seniors in my classroom.
55% of the students that I interact with are low-income students that are every bit deserving of a classroom that can provide them with all types of different learning opportunities. I believe I have the best job and love coming into my classroom every day. I love everything about learning and teaching; however, I feel that my students still have barriers to their learning. The donation you make will help me tear down the barriers and help to engage all of my students.
My Project
My students are going on a field trip! My high school seniors have long forgotten how fun it can be to go on a field trip and I'd love to help them have one last hurrah before their big day! In Advanced Placement Psychology, we have spent the year learning all about Psychology. We have learned how the mind works, how the body is designed, and how behavior can be abnormal.
Your donation will give my students the opportunity to listen to a Clinical and Research Psychologist talk about how Psychology can turn into a career.
The University of Wisconsin-Madison has a wonderful Psychology undergraduate and graduate degree program. After we listen to the Psychologist we will have time to explore the various opportunities that are offered through the University.
