My Project

The disruptions and changes in school due to COVID have had an impact on my students. I am facing a bigger achievement gap than I have ever witnessed before. I am teaching a class whose abilities range from beginning kindergarten to above grade level.

These materials will give my students each a way to be engaged in meaningful learning activities.

Students love to write on whiteboards. The boards make it possible for all students to be engaged in a whole group discussion, not just the most outgoing. The whisper phones are so that students can whisper read to themselves along with the person who is reading in their small group, thus increasing their engagement at all times. The listening center devices and content will allow my most struggling readers to still engage with quality literature independently.

Each of these materials has been chosen with specific goals in mind for heightening student engagement and making it possible for all students to participate equally. Thank you for making this possible for my students.
