We're Crazy for Chromebooks!

My students need Chromebooks for remediation and acceleration in the classroom.

My Students

Our school is a Title I school, located in a small, rural county. Our classrooms are filled with a diverse makeup of students that include English Language Learners, students with disabilities, and gifted students. Our students are very eager to learn, and they come to school excited for a new day. Most of our students come from low-income households, where there are limited budgets for school materials and supplies; however, their families are very supportive and very involved our school community!

My Project

I am requesting a set of Chromebooks for our classroom, to help us remediate and accelerate all students. Students who are performing below grade level will be able to access online intervention programs, such as Math Facts in a Flash and Accelerated Math, so they can work on skills specific to their individual needs. This will help them close the gap and perform closer to grade level expectations.

Students that have mastered the grade level standards will be able to use the Chromebooks for acceleration.

They can access online programs, such as Moby Max and IXL, that will allow them to work at the next level, while the classroom teachers continue to work with students who have not yet mastered the grade level standard. This will help keep the early finishers actively engaged and challenged.
