This year, the inaugural group of Peer Helpers at our magnet school has been trained to identify and work with students to provide essential needed items, provide social-emotional support, and give back to the community. As a teacher, you learn that students must have their basic needs met to succeed in school.
For the 2024-2025 school year, our newest Peer Helpers would like to further support their peers by adding a "Care Closet" for students who may need items during the school year.
This care closet will provide essential items such as deodorant, soap, cereal and more for students and families in need. We need your support to support our students to provide the necessities that they need to begin our care closet!
