Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love how creative, empathetic, and eager to help others my elementary art students are. They take pride in using their talents to make a difference, and this project will give them the chance to lead a school-wide wellness initiative. Using gelli printing, students will create uplifting artwork—affirmation cards, encouraging posters, and wellness bookmarks—to display and share throughout the school. As artists, they will also explore a new way to practice wellness through hands-on printmaking, which for many young learners supports their emotional well-being and mindfulness.

With your support, my students will use their creativity to build a more compassionate, connected school community—one thoughtful print at a time.

With student-created visuals that promote kindness, self-care, and positivity, my students aim to improve shared spaces to be places of encouragement and calm. Each material purchased will help students explore their creativity while reinforcing messages of mental health, resilience, and positivity. This accessible, engaging artform allows every child to feel successful and valued as both an artist and a wellness advocate.
