My Students
I support students with social and emotional needs. I help teach students the skills they need to manage their emotions and behaviors. I help kids with anxiety, anger, depression, self-esteem, self-awareness, self-management, impulse control, social skills, etc.
My students work with me to gain the skills they need to be successful in all areas of their lives.
My students often need a lot of support at school due to their extra emotional burdens and lack of specific skills. I hope, with my project, to be able to provide my students with what they need to be happy and comfortable at school.
My Project
I will be using my materials to provide wellness learning to my students to help them develop tools in managing their emotions and coping with the many stressors of being a kid. When kids are able to deal with their emotions it makes them better learners at school. As a wellness teacher, I want to be able to provide my students with many tools and resources to use to be able to learn essential life skills of self-awareness, social awareness, problem solving, conflict resolution, etc. Research shows that students who learn these skills become more successful adults. With the items needed I can have multiple lesson plans to provide students with these tools. Students will also have access to calm down tools to help them in the classroom.
