Wellness for All Community Service Project
The resources we are requesting will enable my students to lead a community service initiative that focuses on promoting physical and mental wellness for both the school and the broader community.
Through the "Wellness for All" project, my students will distribute hygiene products such as soap, shampoo, deodorant, and cleaning supplies like disinfectant wipes and laundry detergent to fellow students and families in the surrounding area.
This initiative will help address the lack of access to basic hygiene products that many students and families face, which directly impacts their health and well-being. By leading this community service effort, my students will help their peers maintain personal cleanliness, reduce absenteeism caused by illness, and prevent bullying linked to poor hygiene. These resources will also support the broader community by providing families with cleaning supplies that create healthier home environments, fostering physical health and mental wellness beyond the school.
My students will take ownership of organizing the distribution of these products and will lead peer discussions on the importance of hygiene and wellness, ensuring that everyone benefits from the project. The community service they will provide will extend to both the school community and the surrounding neighborhood, making a lasting positive impact on their peers, families, and the larger community.
