Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Here at our high school, we are working to create a Wellness Center that is safe and inviting for our students. We would love your help.
Our Wellness Center is designed to be a safe place on campus, a place where students from all walks of life can find refuge, support and understanding.
Our goal? A go-to place for students on campus to feel safe, cared for, and understood.
Aesthetically, there are some improvements to be made.
First, we have harsh, florescent lighting. We're asking for Ceiling Light Covers to combat this. The string lights would bring in some warmth, and the olive tree would bring nature indoors. These changes would support students in increasing regulation, feeling grounded, and receiving services in a beautiful and well-designed space.
We're asking for a small LEGO to entertain students and display, and paper plates that they could use during lunch.
