Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My school is so awesome because they are giving the 2 social workers here on campus an entire classroom dedicated to helping our students with their mental health! This room will be considered a "wellness center" where students can come to receive counseling, come to relax or de-escalate, and also just have a place to go that is safe and fun.

Our students on campus sometimes struggle with anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts (and so much more), and it would be a dream to have an awesome room to help support them!

We also want to have a space where students can feel accepted and loved. Ideally, this wellness center will have comfortable furniture that is welcoming. It have mental health recourses and activities, and it will have items to help calm students in need. Thank you so much for considering our project!
