This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a new school social worker that will be working at a middle school for the 2023-2024 school year. In my office I would like to have a cool-down corner that will assist students in using their coping skills of taking time to either cool off, think, or just simply relax for a few moments.

After using the cool-down corner students may be more likely to be mentally and physically regulated and ready to return to their classroom successfully.

For the cool-down corner I would like to purchase a bean bag, fidgets, a dimmed light, books, and a carpet.
