My Project

Help us create a much-needed space for our teachers to recharge, refresh, and take care of their well-being through movement, mindfulness, and community.

My Students and School:

Our school is a vibrant and caring elementary community filled with dedicated educators who give their hearts and energy every single day. Our students come from diverse backgrounds, and our teachers work tirelessly to support their academic, emotional, and social needs. We strive to create a nurturing environment not just for our kids—but also for the educators who care for them.

My Project:

We are building a Wellness and Activity Center for teachers to promote physical and mental well-being, prevent burnout, and build community among staff. Teaching is a rewarding but demanding profession, and our educators often give so much of themselves that they neglect their own self-care. This center will be a dedicated space for teachers to take short movement breaks, stretch, meditate, or simply breathe and recharge during the school day.

This center will help improve staff morale, reduce stress, and foster a supportive school culture where self-care is seen as essential, not optional. When our teachers feel supported and healthy, they can show up as their best selves for our students.

Why This Project Matters:

Investing in teacher wellness is investing in the entire school community. A well-rested, emotionally balanced teacher has more capacity to be patient, creative, and compassionate in the classroom.
