My Project
Peppy is the name of our school mascot and a great name for a student-run cafe in our school. This cafe will provide critical experiential learning opportunities. Students without disabilities will have opportunities to support their peers who have different needs. Students with disabilities will also have opportunities to develop skills as they engage in this interactive, hands-on experience daily. There are opportunities for us to collaborate with culinary and business students. We hope to eventually raise funds for water filtration, a restaurant-grade espresso machine and ultimately find a community partner to help train students to create delicious lattes. This coffee-making equipment is the beginning of big dreams brewing for our school community.
