Hello everyone! My name is Alicia Olivieri and my co teacher is Jon Blum and we are excited to start our new school year as first grade teachers! This is our first time teaching a first grade class. We want to ensure a successful school year for our students and we need your help! We teach an integrated class with special education students taking up about 50% of the class. Sensory items are essential for students! They help the students calm themselves, refocus, and help them throughout the course of our school days. We need these materials to ensure the best education possible for our students. The students we work with come from an urban low-income area in Staten Island.
There are classroom essentials that my co teacher and I have yet to accumulate.
