it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many of our students face constant barriers every single day. School should be a place where no matter their situation they feel like they have all of the materials they need to learn. Flexible seating is one of the simplest things we can do for students to encourage them to focus on learning and less on staying completely still. We also need to encourage students to have brain breaks when needed and build those peer relationships and communication skills. Every student should have spaces in the classroom, where they feel welcomed, and excited to learn! My main goal in working at an elementary school is to make a difference for students as they continue through the education system and be someone they can look back on and thank. Working at a Title I school has been challenging in many ways, but if we can lessen the financial burden, so many walls can be torn down.
