This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am passionate about my middle school students and their potential to excel in math. The materials I’m requesting, including calculators, whiteboards, sticky notes, and essential desk supplies like rulers and pencils, will significantly enhance their learning experience. Calculators will enable students to tackle complex problems with confidence, while whiteboards and sticky notes will facilitate collaborative learning and brainstorming sessions. Rulers and pencils will ensure precise measurements and accurate work, promoting attention to detail. Most importantly, I want my students to have access to all the resources they need to succeed. They already live in a low-income community, if we could level the field for them, they are most likely going to succeed in higher education.

These resources will help create a fun and engaging environment, allowing students to focus on understanding math concepts without worrying about lacking materials.

My goal for this project is to foster a supportive and interactive classroom where every student can actively participate and develop a love for math. My students are special because of their enthusiasm and willingness to learn, and I believe these tools will empower them to achieve their best.
