This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our Students start their day in weight training class, we call systematics conditioning. We are a title one school so our funding for our PE classes has been cut down to nothing. We are doing the best with what little we have, and we still see gains in their fitness levels every semester.

Our school has over 2600 students and we have 8 classes that take our systematic conditioning, along with all of our sports teams that use our weight room before and after school.

My girls who I teach are always asking me for new challenges and workouts. Our current weight room is in major need of renovation and updating. We are in dire need of updated equipment.

My Project

Our students at my high school will be able to use these weight balls for core workouts, partner workouts, and circuit training. As you probably know, once you have mastered a particular workout you no longer see as big of gains as you would by doing more challenging movements. This equipment will push our classes to the next level.

The donation of this equipment will mean so much to our students.

They will be able to work together to strengthen their cores and to strengthen their trust in their classmates. We will be able to update our weight room and help follow the current fitness trends and push more circuit training.
