Help me give my students magazines that cover science, community, citizenship, and TEKS all in one resource! Kids also work on reading and comprehension when reading these magazines.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Scholastic News Weekly readers will help my first graders understand the world around them. The weekly readers hit so many science, social studies, community, and character goals that we teach in the classroom.
First graders start off the year reading simple words and grow to read words with vowel teams and much harder word parts.
Scholastic News Weekly readers grow with their reading levels and give them encouragement that they are readers!
This also will help my students with comprehension as it has questions about the topic for students to answer on the back. I can't wait for my students to start using these!
