Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are very inquisitive and creative. They enjoy creating projects and sharing stories with me. I would like for them to connect more and form healthy relationships, and friendships within our classroom community. This school year my classroom has students from different schools and the best way for them to get to know each other is to have them complete projects and tasks together in a fun and exciting way.
Second grade is a grade when students begin to develop more artistic skills and understanding of how to apply their artistic gifts more meaningful.
They also begin to put more thought into how something is done and why they are creating their projects. I have noticed my students are beginning to tap into their individual gifts.
Second grade is considered to be the last primary grade so I would love for my students to have resources to help them understand themselves. By having the Crayola paint, paint brushes, cardstock paper, and magnetic tiles, they will be able to create and interact with their peers. It is important for my students to share their artistic skills and develop their skills and agency daily.
