My students need the Lego WeDo 2.0 classroom set to ignite my students’ desire to learn while enhancing their skills in science, engineering, technology, and coding.
Curious, Inquisitive, and Interested in the world around them. This is how I describe my 22 second graders and our daily learning climate.
My students are always eager to tackle any learning challenge presented.
We have a little bit of every type of personality in our classroom and we are a group that celebrates our differences and grows from learning with each other on a daily basis. There is a bond that develops when you experience new, exciting things. I strive for my classroom to be the community that fosters that bonding between the students and myself while instilling a foundation for a lifetime of learning.
My Project
The Lego Robotics materials will provide the opportunity for my young students to gain skills in science, engineering, technology and coding through the use of a material that they already love "playing" with. These are necessary skills in the world of today and TOMORROW.
Your generous donation will allow first, second and third graders to build and program rovers, motion sensors, and a variety of robots.
I will use these materials with the after-school Lego club I facilitate at our school, as well as my second grade classroom. These robotics materials will make an impact beyond one classroom.
It is my job to ensure that my students maintain their confidence and build a solid foundation of skills that they will need in their future of opportunities. The skills attained through these materials will provide a solid foundation as well as a spark into what is possible. Lego Robotics will allow me to turn "play" into learning as an avenue to enhance my students' skills in science, engineering, technology and coding.
