it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are amazing! They try hard and always want to reach their full potential. However, the resources in our school can be scarce. Many of my students are far below grade level and need added support and resources in order to reach grade level standards.
My classroom is diverse.
As an ICT (Integrated Co-Teaching) class, we have students of varying ability levels who require diverse instruction and varied materials to meet their individual needs. Teachers are given a very limited amount of money to purchase materials for the classroom. Unfortunately, this doesn't come close to covering what our classroom really needs.
My Project
Using a document camera and technology cart will help my students stay engaged throughout the entire lesson, follow along without getting lost, and be able to show others how they came up with a certain answer, whether its math, reading or writing. The Common Core Standards are really focusing on the "how". They want students to be able to show and tell others their thought processes.
Students will be able to discuss strategies, share ideas, increase vocabulary, and develop a deeper understanding of skills by using a document camera.
This device and storage cart will prepare the students for the next grade level as well as support their educational career.
