Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students attend a Title I elementary school located in Houston's diverse community of the East End. The majority of my students come from low-income households and some are recent immigrants. They bring a diverse culture to our school.
My students come from families with limited means and are eager to learn no matter the situation.
They love learning and cannot wait to go back to school! They really flourish in a classroom that is full of hands-on and engaging activities that allow them to problem solve and create.
My Project
Teaching from home can be a challenge especially when it comes to making engaging connections with my students. This new way of teaching has caused me to think of creative ways to bridge distance learning from their home to mine.
Your generous donations will allow me to provide my students with the best virtual learning experience possible through creative and interactive lessons.
It is my goal to create a YouTube channel, so I can record lessons for my students, and provide a resource for absent students to locate previous lessons.
