My Project
Our goal for this project is to get the supplies we need to make paper, weave and create group mosaics. My students love and thrive on hands-on projects. Each of these supplies will go towards specific group projects. We love working with others and learning how to collaborate!
We plan to make paper by using the recycled paper we have been saving all year.
With these frames we can learn the paper making process and turn our handmade paper into books that we illustrate and write ourselves!
Last semester, we created large group mosaics. This was an all time classroom favorite! Subjects ranged from nature scenes to different influential art periods. By getting more construction paper and glue sticks, my new classes this semester can create their own mosaics.
Weaving is always a classroom favorite. By having looms it will save prep time for me as the teacher and give me more time in class with my students. Weaving works on core skills such as hand eye coordination, and design balance and unity.
