My Students
My students are from rural NC, and they chose to attend our college prep charter school. Our students are creative, enthusiastic, and inquisitive. Even though they may come to school with a lot of baggage, they continuously strive to get the best education they can. They believe education is one key to success.
My students have a hunger for meaningful hands-on experiences.
When they walk into my science class, you can see the wonder in their minds, curious about where science will take them next.
My Project
My students have shown a love of weather while learning about it last year. My goal is to have a weather station at the school so we can have real-time data to help predict the weather.
My students glow with excitement when they can help predict the weather.
It is a goal to have different students come to my class in the morning and create a weather report based on the readings from the weather station. They would then be filmed and the video would be sent to all classrooms in a daily weather report. They would report the weather just like the Meteorologists they see on the news!
