Weather Me Crazy!

Help me give my students tangible tools and related books to record and understand weather data.

My Project

Students can relate to the weather because they can see what is happening outside the window. However, it becomes more difficult to have discussions about weather measurements with a lack of measurement tools.

I would like to provide AcuRite Home Weather Station, Brookstone Children’s Weather Station Kit, and SmartLab Toys Storm Watcher Weather Lab to observe and record weather data, analyze trends, and predict weather, based on data.

The students will enjoy going outside to record measurements, as well as, reading them from inside the classroom. This can also be an avenue to learn and use data analysis across other subject areas, as well as, increase success in math standards such as estimating, rounding, and graphing.
