Wearable Yearbooks!

Help me give my students fabric ink, rubber printmaking blocks, and t-shirts so that we can tag each other's t-shirts to create wearable visual yearbooks!

My Project

My students are the coolest kids around! I have no doubt this fashion forward art project will be a relevant way for them to continue their personal identity exploration while deepening the bond they create with their classmates.

Printmaking has always been a form of currency among artists.

Instead of buying one another's artwork, printmakers have traditionally traded with one another, offering a chance to create a space for mutual appreciation and respect. Trading prints on t-shirts instead of paper, will give 4th and 5th grade artists a chance to collect each others personal identity stamps like signatures in a yearbook. The collection of images on fabric will serve as permanent memory stamps.
