Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This summer, our group will embark on a creative and meaningful project: designing custom t-shirts that reflect each student's unique identity and bring attention to a social issue they care deeply about. This activity is an opportunity for self-expression, community building, and advocacy. Students will not only design their shirts with symbols, colors, and messages that represent who they are, but they will also select a cause that matters to them—whether it’s related to social justice, the environment, mental health, equality, or another important topic. Once their designs are complete, each student will present their t-shirt to the group, explaining the inspiration behind their design and educating their peers about the issue they chose. Through these presentations, students will build confidence in speaking out about what matters to them and gain a deeper understanding of the diverse passions and perspectives within their group.
