My students need Multilinks, Shut-the-Box, dominoes, notebooks, and Post-its with which to attack math.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Y.'s classroom raised $462

My Students
Technology that students master today may be outdated when they graduate in eleven years. However, games and manipulatives (that don't need recharging or require expensive contracts to maintain) teach them practical skills that will last them a lifetime.
Hola, and welcome to my proposal to support math and problem solving skills of curious, earnest, and eager first graders.
Five languages are spoken in the homes of my class in this high poverty school in a district that cut all elementary art, music, P.E., and computer teachers, in a state that is #1 in prison spending and #47 in education spending.
My Project
Games like dominoes and blocks like Multilinks prepare students for the future by requiring them to pay attention, think quickly, act creatively, meet challenges, compete graciously, and solve problems. Furthermore, these materials help them sharpen skills in every academic subject while building neural pathways and emotional intelligence. And the best part? Building with blocks and playing games are just plain fun!--a feeling which neuroscientists have documented to have a positive influence on learning and productivity.
Thank you for reading this proposal, and if funded, we invite you to a morning of building, bonding, breaking, and doing our best as we unleash our imaginations with our new blocks and document progress in our new notebooks.
