We Ya-Bah-Ya-Bah-DON’T Have Computers!

Help me give my students additional computers to allow us more efficiency. With two laptops, more students would be able to use them for a variety of tasks such as writing our team newsletter.

My Students

The students on our team come from a variety of backgrounds but share a passion for learning more about science, technology, engineering and mathematics and the business of running our robotics team. Currently, our team is the only way that students at our school can earn a credit in engineering.

Participating in a FIRST program, students have the opportunity to be involved in a challenging team activity where they build relationships, learn new skills, and gain a deeper understanding of and an increased interest in STEM.

By working with their fellow team members and mentors, students are exposed to real-life challenges in science and technology. They are encouraged to work through problems, brainstorm solutions with their team, and implement those solutions in a gracious and professional manner.

Participating in the FRC program gives students valuable training in technical, computing, design, engineering and business skills. These students will play a major role in the future workforce in our area as engaged and hardworking individuals with practical experience in solving real-world engineering and business problems in a team setting.

My Project

Our team is in need of some additional computers to allow us more efficiency with running our team. In discussing our options, we have agreed that two laptops would be a great start! These laptops would be used for a variety of tasks such as writing our team newsletter or improving our existing scouting application.

Computers are very important to us because they help keep our team organized.

The couple computers that we have been given are old and slow. We used to have access to many computers that our school let us use and when COVID started, the school reallocated them. New computers would solve some of our issues and allow us to do our work faster. If we just got two laptops, more students would be able to be involved in different areas of the team.
