This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I currently have 25 six- and seven-year-old students in my classroom. I am teaching first graders in a Title I school, located in a high poverty and high crime area of Pennsylvania.

All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch.

Many of my students come from homes where English is not spoken. I have three special education students and two ESL (English as a Second Language) students in my classroom. Several of the students in my classroom have an in-class social worker.

My Project

The mice have invaded our classroom. Everyday when we come into our room we are greeting by lots of mice dropping. We have discovered that mice even like eating crayons. The children have requested that we get robotic vacuums to clean our classroom so that they can come into a clean classroom in the morning.

I would love to get my students robotic vacuums to clean up their breakfast crumbs.

The students would take turns getting to control the vacuums. Please consider supporting this project. My students would enjoy sitting on a clean carpet.
