I teach students in a self contained classroom and all academic subjects. I have a multi-cultural class in a Title 1 city school. Many of my students are from a low-economic background and live in poverty. Many of my students are NOT on a 5th grade level for reading or math. My levels range from Kindergarten to 4th grade levels. Special education students are mainstreamed in my classroom. Therefore, they learn best through auditory and kinesthetic learning styles to grasp the concepts and applications that are part of the core curriculum.
My Project
The supplies will assist my students by providing the necessary resources needed to complete daily academic activities that we often take for granted. Large post-it notes & highlighters will be used for cooperative learning strategies and techniques as they post their expressions for critiquing and editing. We will be able to publish our work & certificates from mandatory intervention websites in color using the ink provided. The dry erase boards, expo markers are for quick math checks. Pencils, scissors and colored markers are for foldable projects.
