My Students

My students are incredible! My students are in kindergarten, first, second, third, fourth, and fifth grade. They are curious, inquisitive, hard-working, and dedicated. All of my students have Individualized Educational Plans, because they have been diagnosed with a disability. All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch at school. They come from high poverty areas, and they all love coming to school. My students are brilliant individuals who learn differently than their peers. These students will be successful, and it's my job to create learning opportunities that ensure this.

My Project

As of 12/18/18 our school has completely run out of paper. We need paper to teach! My special education, ESL, and general education students benefit from a combination of authentic learning experiences and additional practice to sharpen their skills. We have a whole school initiative to help develop our students into becoming independent learners opposed to dependent learners. It is integral for us to have all of the materials needed in order to succeed with this initiative.

I can't imagine a classroom without hard copies "hot off the press" current events, personalized learning packets that build students up from where they are at and where they need to go, reward certificates for having 100 homework averages, differentiated homework, math practice pages, etc.

The list is truly endlesss... we need access to paper!
