My Students
My students are the best of the best! We are excited about music and always ready to make improvements. Some students' families do not have the resources available to purchase or rent their own instruments and materials for class. Every child in class is uniquely talented and ready to give their all, no matter the resources that they have. Every child should have access to the necessary materials for them to be a successful musician. Orchestra helps build confidence and self esteem, on top of discipline and appreciation of music.
My Project
Our violin and viola students need shoulder rests for their instruments, in order to properly hold them with correct positions. Some students' families do not have the resources to purchase these expensive but necessary items.
Our classroom would like to offer shoulder rests for violin and viola students in need, to "check-out" for the year.
This will encourage success with their playing abilities, which will, in turn, build self esteem and provide equal opportunities in the classroom.
Student will be encouraged to take care of these items so that other students in the future can also use them when in need.
