My Project

In Kindergarten, teachers work to build their student's knowledge from the ground up. It takes a lot of time throughout the year to build strong literacy foundations so that students learn their letter names and sounds, and then how to apply that knowledge in their reading and writing.

Our hope is that students who come in unable to recognize their name or letters, will leave as developing readers.

This start to their academic journey will be even stronger if I, their teacher, am able to gain more knowledge about how to best instruct. This professional development course will enable me to gain more knowledge that will allow me to better serve my students for years to come.
